Please be advised that she deals with complaints involving domestic animals only; Issues with wild animals should be reported to the State of Maine Warden's Service at 1-800-452-4664 or at their website: http://www.maine.gov/ifw/warden_service/

Reports of abuse/neglect involving livestock or horses should be made to the State of Maine Department of Agriculture at 1-877-269-9200 or 207-287-3846

Dog Licenses
Maine Law: States that all days 6 mos. and older must be licensed yearly. Licenses are good from January 1st to December 31st.

New dog tags are available yearly by October 15th at the Anson Town Office Located at 5 Kennebec Street.
If our records show that you have one or more unlicensed dog from February 1st, there will be a $25.00 state enforced late fee per dog. Owners of unlicensed dogs will be summoned for each unlicensed dog.
